Balchik & Kaliakra Cape

from 51.00

The botanical garden in Balchik, is a piece of heaven on earth, spreading on an area of 1 decare! The garden is world famous for its unique collection of large-sized cactuses, which is the second of this kind in Europe after the one in Monaco. The collection of 600 specimens of giant succulents, some of which blooming only once in 100 years is also impressive. No wonder it appeared as a summer residence of the Romanian queen Maria in the beginning of XX century. Luckily, nearby is located another gem of the Black Sea Coast, namely the most eastern point of the country – Kaliakra cape. It is a nature reserve, where dolphins and cormorants swim in freedom and also many rare and migrant birds can be seen throughout the year.
